Meet Jenine

Jenine Durland, L. Ac, MPS, MA

...driven by a deep sense of connection, curiosity, and <3...

I am a licensed acupuncturist proud to be certified by the NCCAOM, the Oregon Medical Board, the state of Washington, and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for Oncology Acupuncture care. I'm a Forrest Yoga teacher, tele skier, biker, boater, dancer, and dog mom. For nearly a decade I built the UX accessible design practice at Google, and wrote health pieces for the Huffington Post. Currently I'm finishing my Doctorate in Acupuncture at Virginia University of Integrative  Medicine.

I give thanks to my many teachers, and am honored to have trained in some of the oldest and most potent medicine lineages still practiced: Five Element constitutional acupuncture, as well as Japanese style, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Education & Training

  • Doctor of Acupuncture (2027 exp grad)

    • Virginia University of Integrative Medicine

  • Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Acupuncture certificate (2026)

    • (4 yrs, 660+ clinical hrs-- this is 95% more training that PTs and MDs doing 'dry needling or 'medical acupuncture')

      • Middle Way Acupuncture Institute

      • Five Branches University

  • Masters, Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP 2011)

    • Tisch, New York University

  • Bachelor of Art, Poetry, Creative Writing

    • Colorado College (2005)

  • Forrest Yoga Teacher, Advanced 300 hr

  • NOLS Alaska Outdoor Leadership

  • Head of UX Accessibility & Content at Google

There is no one-size fits all approach to care, and I design treatments to meet you exactly where you are. I found Chinese Medicine while  leading global design at Google, where I was tasked with making  tools inclusive and usable for people of all backgrounds and abilities. I've also lived the tail of Western success, burnout, and rebirth. I am deeply passionate about providing accessible care and helping each of us realize our fullest, pain-free potential. Please email me if you are in need of sliding rate assistance for ongoing care.

This medicine is much more than needles; it is a way of empowering you to harmonize your life. I hope to help you on your journey back to source. â€‹â€‹â€‹
